This was just an ideal choice for a short break in Galax with outstanding value. The bed was extremely soft, making it easy to drift off after a long day of traveling. Arrive early to secure parking, as the lot fills up quickly.

The water pressure was intense, making showers wake me up fully. The WiFi connection allowed for smooth video calls, a plus during my stay.

We really enjoyed our stay with our niece, especially the awesome trout fishing just 15 minutes north. The kids had a blast, and it was a relaxing spot for the whole family.

My kids wished for more activities inside the hotel.

I booked a late-night stay and found the price unbeatable at $52, but you get what you pay for. Upon arrival, I requested a noon check-out, which the clerk kindly approved. The parking lot felt cramped, and I navigated through oddly numbered rooms. mine was #215, which I thought was on the second floor but wasn't. The room itself was pretty dated. the fixtures looked worn, especially in the bathroom, where the water pressure nearly knocked me over. I’m all for a strong shower, but this was a bit much. The toilet paper holder was cracked, and the beds felt ancient, with springs poking through a mattress that was way too soft. On the bright side, the room was surprisingly clean despite its age. There was one chair with a significant stain that I avoided sitting on. I stayed because of the low cost, but I wouldn’t pay over $60 for a room like this again. It served its purpose as a place to crash after a long day of exploring, but some updates are definitely needed for a more comfortable stay. The WiFi worked just fine, and I appreciated the decent hot water for showers.
